This is a sales letter I wrote as part of a copywriting assignment:

In the highly competitive dining market in Toronto, it is imperative to maximize media exposure AND to reach those key influencers in the press and among celebrities. Upscale PR Inc. has the experience, expertise and connections to do this for you, so you can concentrate on what you do best – providing the finest dining experience in the city.
Upscale PR proposes to stage an unsurpassed grand opening event. We suggest having the grand opening the night before the opening of TIFF. Scheduling just before the opening of TIFF maximizes exposure at a time when entertainment, dining and parties capture prime media attention.
A summary of the attached proposal:
• The grand opening will be a gala party featuring finger foods and wine tasting
• Michel Bublé will provide the entertainment
• Key media personalities in the dining / entertainment / society area will be personally invited
• An ‘A’ list of movie celebrities – actors, directors and producers- and well known Toronto business people will also be personally invited
• Well known Toronto business people will also be personally invited
• Henri Blanc and Michel Beef will give brief presentations on the restaurant and cuisine. Upscale PR will provide suggestions, coaching and A/V support.
• Our own photographers will capture highlights of the event and post images through your Facebook and Twitter accounts as they happen
Upscale PR will lay out a red carpet for the distinguished guests, in keeping with the TIFF theme. This will create a red carpet ‘paparazzi’ environment outside the restaurant as fans line the red carpet to catch a glimpse of the celebrities.
